BreakOut Poker uses the same rake method as all the other GG Network skins, which is called Player Value Index (PVI). The formula is different than the classical Weighted Contributed rake used by most poker sites. It uses an index between 0.1 and 2 that is assigned to each player, according to his performance. Winning players have lower values of the index. However, the variance is low as compared with other redistribution rake formulas. After the index has been applied, the actual rake or net rake is equal with gross rake multiplied by the index, which refreshes on a monthly basis.

Holdem, Omaha and MTTs rake

Being part of GG Network, BreakOut uses a common rake structure which is differentiated according to the games played. No Limit Holdem rake is 5% with different rake cap values, while for PLO it is applicable a 3% rake, uncapped. Tournaments are only charged with 5% rake, almost twice lower than any other mainstream poker site, where the average rake for MTTs is 10%. Thus, BreakOut Poker is not only profitable for Holdem and Omaha cash games, but also a very good choice for playing online poker tournaments.

An interesting fact that you can notice from the table above is that for most No Limit Holdem stakes, rake is not fixed, fluctuating between 2.5% and 5%. This happens because if for instance at NL10 pot is 0.39$, 0.01$ is taken for every 0.20$ in the pot. So in this case, for the difference of 0.19$, player does not pay any rake. Thus, on aggregate, actual rake taken from the pot is within this range, which means that players actually rake less than 5% on average.

Omaha players can benefit from a reduced rake percentage of only 3%, with 40% less than the industry’s average which is 5%. Bounty Hunters

Bounty Hunters is a series of guaranteed Bounty tournaments running everyday where the prize money is split in 2 parts: 

• a part of the prize will go to the overall prize pool.
• the other part will be distributed among players for each knocked out opponent.

Bounty prizes are gathered every time you win the pot when one or more of the players go all-in and lose all their chips. The pot can be the main pot or one or several side pots. Knocking out a player will add the bounty of the knocked out player and the bounties that the busted player had previously accumulated as well.

As soon as the tournament goes to in-the-money phase, the total bounty prize that each in-the-money player had accumulated will be directly credited to the player's account. Afterwards, the tournament will continue in a typical Freezeout format. If a player is knocked out before reaching in-the-money stage, all the bounty he had collected will not be credited to his player's account.

There are satellites available for the Bounty Hunters before the main event starts which you can play and win a seat in the events for a much cheaper price.

Omaholic is a series of Omaha tourneys whihc run every day.

T$ Builder

T$ Builder is a tournament series where you can boost your bankroll with '0% fee' tournaments which can be played every 30 minutes. Since there is no fee for the T$ Builder series, the entire buy-in amount will be accumulated into the prize pool.

The T$ Builder is a new type of tournament offered by Breakout Poker, in which the prize pool is paid out in T$ only. Buy-in amounts available are: $1, $2, $4 and $8.

There are no satellite tournaments offered for the T$ Builder tournament series.

The payout structure has an auto-payout format and is not offering guarantees. The prize pool will vary according to the total number of players who registered. The minimum number of required players is only 2, which will give you more chances to participate in this tournament type.

All T$ Builder tournaments have a late registration stage of 30 minutes.

Tournament Types

There are different tournament types which can be played in online poker. Below you can find the descriptions of tournaments offered by Breakout Poker.

Guaranteed Tournaments

Guaranteed tournaments have a guaranteed prize pool which will be distributed as stated, even though the total collected buy-in amount falls short of the guaranteed amount. Please acknowledge that the regular tournaments contribute the collected buy in amount to the prize pool. Supposing there are more buy-ins than the guaranteed prize pool, the total pool increases accordingly. The guaranteed prize amount allocated for each tournament is indicated in the tournament lobby, if the case.

Freezeout

At the start of tournament, the players will receive the same amount of tournament chips. It is not possible to add-on more chips once the tournament started. If a player loses all his chips, then he will be eliminated from the tournament. 

Tournaments are either rebuy or freezout.

Progressive Bounty

In our Progressive Bounty tournaments, each player has a bounty on his head. When a player is knocked out of a tournament, the corresponding player's bounty is added to the bounty of the player who knocks him out. The accumulated prize pool will be distributed to the players who make it to the money stage, at which point the winner will be decided the same way as in a standard freezeout tournament.

Rebuy Tournaments

At the start of tournament, the players will receive the same amount of tournament chips. During the tournament, every player has the opportunity to rebuy, which means purchasing additional chips equivalent to the starting chip stack. 

Players have the option to rebuy any time during the specified period, if their current chip stack is equal to or below the starting chips amount. 

The time allotted for rebuys and the number of rebuys available vary depending on the tournament. The details regarding rebuy tournaments are indicated in the tournament lobby.

Satellites

Satellite tournaments are qualifying events that give you an opportunity to win a seat to the main tournaments with a higher buy-in or to a higher buy-in satellite . Breakout poker is currently offering Satellite tournaments to the main event and Bounty Hunters tournaments in turbo and normal speed types.

The Turbo Satellite tournaments run for 30 minutes before the main event started and the buy-in is 1/5 (one fifth) of the main event direct entrance buy-in amount.

The Regular Satellites for this tourney run 90 minutes before the main event starts and the buy in is 1/10 (one thenth) of the main event direct entrance buy in amount.

Turbo Tournaments

Turbo tournaments are some fast paced variations of regular tournaments but with shorter blind levels (may be 1/3 or 1/2 that of regular tourneys) and less time to make decistions at the tables. BREAKOUT COIN - Multi Currencies Tied to Online Gaming

Besides the poker platform they are offering, Breakout also built a blockchain related project. Breakout Blockchain is a global payment system with tiny transaction fees.

At the heart of the Breakout Chain Multi-currency system is the currency Breakout Coin (BRK). To help increasing the adoption of Breakout Coin, a reserve of 7,000,000 BRK is held by the coin company, ready to be lent to vendors for promoting their business as well as adoption of BRK. Loan disbursements are made over time and have strict clauses that forbid the recipients to sell coins on exchanges. Loans purpose is to be used for things like awarding points or incentives. The loans are designed in such a way that encourage the borrower to be a net buyer in the open market and does not penalize him if the BRK price increases significantly during the repayment period.

BREAKOUT COIN - A Gaming and General Use Currency

Similar to Bitcoin's Satoshis, Breakout Coin has eight decimal places, so you can make small transactions, which we can call “micro-transactions”. Breakout Coin currency symbol is “BRK”.

Each Breakout Coin transaction requires a small fee to be paid by the sender and to be collected by individuals / enitites who support the network by the process of certifying its transactions. These individuals / entities run an open source software that is obviously, free to download. As a compensation of running this software and ensuring that it stays up to date, network participants can collect transaction fees and other rewards. Anyone using a computer and an internet connection can download the software mentioned above and actively participate in the Breakout network.

Breakout Coin system is designed in such a way that additional Breakout Coins will be created at the rate of 5% / year, in hope of encouraging more users to support the network. This 5% inflation coins will be awarded to those entities who have proven their stake in the network. This stake was designed as another crypto currency called “Breakout Stake”, with currency symbol “BRX”.

 

BREAKOUT STAKE - Ownership means Proof-of-Stake in the Network

Breakout Stake owners have stake in the Breakout Chain network. Only 6.268.000 Breakout Stake coins will be created in this project. Owning Breakout Stake grants individals or entities the right to certify transactions when using the wallet where coins are held.

By sustaining the network this way, Breakout Stake holders are proportionally rewarded on their stake by getting paid in Breakout Coins.

Because they have a confirmed stake in the network, Breakout Stake owners have interest in performing transactions certification in a good faith. The more Breakout Stake an individual has, the more authority he has when it comes to certifying transactions. 

Abusing of one’s certification authority by approving invalid transactions is programmed to be prohibitively expensive so practically impossible to do. Actually, it would require the control of more than 50% of all the existing Breakout Stake in order to undermine the integrity ansecurity of the network this way. Such a process would also destroy the Breakout Stake token supply required to undermine the entire network.

 

SISTER COIN - A Proof-of-Work Currency

Breakout Chain is a new hybrid Proof - of - Work (PoW) / Proof - of - Stake (PoS) blockchain which is differentiating by other PoW/PoS hybrids by utilizing 2 different security systems that genrate 2 different coins. While Breakout Stake generates Breakout Coin via Proof of Stake, Sister Coin is generated via Proof of Work. This system design is completely new to Breakout Chain.

One important benefit of mining Sister Coin by PoW is represented by the fact that fees which are not claimed by PoS can be claimed by the miners. These fees are available to miners because Proof of Stake blocks can’t collect fees. This means that even though Proof of Work miners find only 50% of the blocks, PoW miners will get all fees related to any transaction in the blockchain, even the ones recorded in Proof of Stake blocks. This system which is called fee scavenging ensures blockchain security by providing some additional incentives to Proof of Work miners.

This new system has several advantages:
- the 2 security systems do not intercalate in any way because the amount of Sister Coin influence neither the amount of Breakout Coin nor the amount of Breakout Stake. 
- the PoW and PoS difficulty adjustments algorithms, which keep block duration close to 5 minutes, are independent. The algorithm created to calculate the difficulty, “Breakout Gravity Wave”, is a hybrid PoW/PoS adaptation “Dark Gravity Wave” from Dash. 
- being a hybrid PoW/PoS system implies that a successful attack which could endanger the network would require both 51% of the hashes and 51% Breakout Stake. Besides that, the attacker should coordinate this dual and pronged attack with high precision, leaving almost no room for errors. This means it's not only very expensive in terms of resources to attack Breakout Chain, but it represents a huge challenge as well, technically speaking.
