Americas Cardroom (most commonly known as ACR Poker) was founded way back in 2001, as part of the WPN (Winning Poker Network). It is now run by CEO Phil Nagy and it is the second largest website in the United States when it comes to traffic.

Even with all the scams and scandals in the industry, Americas Cardroom still managed to survive over the years and to offer plenty of tables, big tournaments and a reliable cashier. It’s no wonder why they are one of the best networks in the United States.

They adapted to new trends and were always one step ahead of the competition. But they are not perfect either. One downside is that they haven’t found a good and reliable solution for mobile cash games.

Americas Cardroom offers VIP rakeback to its players through an extended Elite Benefits VIP system. While it may not be as straight forward as you might want, players can earn up to 60% rakeback for reaching the highest VIP Levels. Elite Benefits has 6 VIP Levels: Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Colonel, General, 5-Star General. The last two of them are obtained on a yearly basis, while the rest monthly. Players earn 5.5 Rank Points for each 1$ paid in tournaments or cash games. The initial bonus at ACR is 100% for up to $ 1,000 and also 20 free Jackpot Poker tournaments. While there is no deposit bonus code required, eligible players will have to deposit a minimum of 25$ to be able to release the bonus. If they deposit via cryptocurrencies, the bonus doubles at 200% up to 1,000$. It is valid for 60 days, so plenty of time to harvest it. It is being released in small chunks of 1$ for every 27.5 Award Points earned. Players will also receive up to 50$ free cash for first 20 days and will have the chance to participate into a 250$ First Depositors Freeroll.

As part of Winning Poker Network (WPN), Americas Cardroom uses a default weighted contributed rake method, which is pretty common in the online poker industry nowadays. While the rake charged for cash games is rather on the lower side (up to 5%) with low rake cap values, the fees applied for most of the MTTs and SNGs are 10%. However, Americas Cardroom is popular due to its tournaments schedule and SNGs offering.

Americas Cardroom shares the same player pool with all other WPN skins. According to Pokerscout, Winning Poker Network currently stands into top 10 online poker sites traffic leaderboard and hosts around 700 cash games players on a weekly basis, with more than 1,000 grinders online at peak hours.

ACR Poker started as a small and obscure website and gradually grown over the years. It offers plenty of active tables for 6 players and up to the level of $5/10, and also 9-seated tables. But what this site is really popular for are its huge tournaments. 

It hosts some of the largest in the country, and the main event has a guaranteed prize pool of 1 million dollars. This is something that hasn’t been seen in the US since the Black Friday crash in 2011. Even the small tournaments have good prizes and they can get together 1,000 players or even more. So there is constant traffic and always good action at the tables.

ACR also has Spin and Go’s (in their case they are named Jackpot Poker) and they also offer a good bonus to all new players that deposit at least $ 25. So overall ACR is a good and reliable platform for US players and not only. 

 

Americas Cardroom allows deposits with a large variety of options and offers payouts by cash transfer, check, Bitcoin or more than 60 cryptocurrencies. The minimum deposit is 25$ and players who deposit via cryptocurrencies will have their welcome bonus doubled. Withdrawals are fast and secure and they also have a good and efficient cashier. 

 

Americas Cardroom software is compatible with all desktop platforms (Windows and Mac) but the disadvantage is that it does not offer poker games in mobile format. Thus, iOS and Android devices cannot currently be used at ACR Poker. Nevertheless, the software looks really nice, is suitable for multi tabling and creates an exciting user experience.

Poker Trackers such as Holdem Manager and PokerTracker are supported by the software. Some may see this as a positive aspect, while others may see it as a negative one, but ACR does not have anonymous tables. And by that we mean tables which do not allow the use of Heads-Up Displays. These HUDs can be very beneficial to experienced players who know how to use them, but can actually discourage recreational players which will lose way too often. 

Competitor websites such as Bovada Poker offer anonymous tables where HUDs can’t be used, so if that’s your preferred way to play poker, you can’t do this at America’s Cardroom. While some players accused ACR of cheating and use of bots, the website maintained a good reputation over the years, so it’s clear that this is not the case. People trying to cheat the game can be found everywhere, no matter the website or the physical location of the table.
