“We’re sorry to announce that WPT Poker is closing on 3rd June 2015.”
Important details:
As of 6th June 2015:
- New registration on WPT Poker will not be possible
- All pending tournament registrations will be reversed
- No new deposits will be possible
- Gameplay will be blocked

- Tournament dollars and value tickets will be refunded.
- Tournament entry with no value will not be compensated
- If player qualifies for live events before the website closure, his invitation remains valid
PROMOTIONS & LOYALTY
Promotions will be stopped and bonuses and loyalty points will be taken back if not used before closure.
PAYMENT
If the customer still has a remaining balance on his account, this can be paid out manually after 03.09.2015, because users can no longer access their accounts.
Surprisingly, WPT Poker has announced its exit strategy while Party Poker Network still holds the 5th position in terms of traffic for cash games, according to traffic data provided by the network. So the lack of traffic could not stand behind this movement. However, the decision was argued by bwin.party management in the following way:
“bwin.party has made the decision to focus our online poker efforts entirely on our lead brands: partypoker and bwin poker. This has resulted in the decision to close our WPTPoker.com site.”
