Phil Hellmuth Net Worth in 2018 - The Numbers Will Shock You

Known as “The Poker Brat” because of his loud mouth and bad attitude, Phil Hellmuth is one of the best poker players in the world. He was born in Madison, Wisconsin in 1964 and he is also one of the tallest players, at a height of 6’7” or 2,01 meters. This fact never goes unnoticed, and commenters are always making remarks of his height. As mentioned before, he is famous for his loud reactions and cocky remarks against other players, one of them being that “If luck weren’t involved, I guess I’d win every one”.

He had a normal and relaxed childhood in a Catholic family, and was first introduced to poker in college. He immediately started to love the game and then played as much as possible with friends and family, until it was too easy and he had to move on to better competitors. He then went to play high stakes local games with important people such as business men and doctors, and slowly built a big bankroll.

He then quit college and went to Vegas in order to focus solely on poker. But things were not as easy as he expected, and the difficulty level in Vegas made him to lose everything and to come back home and re-build his bankroll. This actually happened 10 times, but he never quit. He kept on coming back to Vegas, until he finally made a big win. Then he could afford to remain in Vegas and enter various tournaments.

In 1989 at the age of 24 he became the Youngest Winner of a WSOP event and 4 years later he won three bracelets in a single WSOP. In the year 2000 he won the Poker EM 7-card Stud Main Event in Austria, and in 2005 he won the National Heads Up Poker Championship. In 2007 he entered the WSOP Hall of Fame and in 2012 he won both the WSOP and the WSOPE main events (he was actually the first ever to achieve this performance).

In regards to money, Phil Hellmuth owns the record for the most WSOP cashes and also for the most WSOP final tables, with a total of 14 million dollars. He also played other types of poker, not just Texas Hold’em. He won multiple championships and tournaments, with prizes ranging from $160,000 to 1 million euro at the Seven-Card Razz in 2012.

He won multiple other prizes in WPT and other tournaments, in live cash games and some online games. He also had some sponsorship deals and some side businesses, and if we put all the amounts together, we find out that the Phil Hellmuth Net Worth in 2018 is that of around 20 million dollars. He ranks 8th in the All Time Money List, but his best placement was the second place.
