8 Things To Know About Ultimate Texas Holdem

If you are tired of the same old poker game and you want to try something new, then here is the perfect choice. Ultimate Texas Holdem is a reinvented variant of the classic Texas Holdem. There are a few major differences, and we’ll now take a look at them:

1. You are not playing against other players

The most important difference is that you don’t play against other players, but against the dealer. If in Texas Hold’em bluffing is not your strong point, then you might want to consider trying the Ultimate Texas Holdem. All you have to do is to beat the dealer’s hand and not have to worry about other people.

2. There is no rake

In all the other types of poker, the casino or hosting website makes money by taking a percentage of each winning hand. But here there is no need for that. The house makes money because of a mathematical edge included in the game.

3. Skills matter

In this game you really need to know when to call and when to fold, because the house edge is 2.2% of the initial ante. So if the ante is $100 you only lose $2.2. If you are too aggressive in betting you can lose money quite quickly.

4. You have 7 possible cards to play with

Both you and the dealer initially start with 2 cards, and there are 5 other community cards on the table, turned up in 2 sets (first there are 3 and then the other 2). Out of the 7 available cards, you will make a hand with the best 5.

5. You should make ante and blind bets

If you ante $10 then you must also bet $10 on the blind. With the ante you can play against the dealer, while with the blind bet you are eligible for bigger earnings on high ranking hands.

6. You can bet 3 more times

After you seen the first 2 cards you can make a bet of up to four times the ante. Then, after the first 3 cards are turned up you can bet again, and then once again after the last 2 cards are turned. So there are plenty of opportunities to win big hands if you have good cards.

7. You can see all the cards

In other games, if you don’t call other players’ bets, you won’t get the chance to see all the cards. But in Ultimate Texas Holdem, if you bet after the first 2 cards, you can still stay in the game until all the cards are turned. But then it’s the same as in the other games: you either have to bet or to fold and lose the previous bet.

8. You can win up to 500-1 on the blind bet

There is a table that shows how much a blind bet is paid, according to the winning hand. If you are really lucky and have a royal flush, then you can win 500 times your initial bet.
