GGPoker Review

GGPoker is a popular website dedicated to Asian players, with plenty of interesting games, features, bonuses and promotions. It is mainly dedicated to recreational players that can just enjoy a good game of poker without stressing too much about it.

It is licensed in Curacao and a part of the GG Network, which is the largest one in Asia.

So overall GGPoker is a great place to play for Asian players but not only. It has plenty of traffic (most of them being recreational players), lots of promotions, bonuses and a decent software.

GGPoker VIP System

Since 2017, GGPoker has joined the Fish Buffet VIP system which is shared by all other GG Network skins. Once players opt in, they automatically receive rakeback rewards directly into their poker account. The VIP system has many increments and levels which can be reached by gaining a specific amount of Fish Buffet Points (FP).

There are 25 levels totally. The minimum rakeback possible is 10%, while by gaining higher levels, players can earn up to 100% rakeback. The highest VIP level is Shark Black. All rewards are offered with different frequencies, depending on each level's requirements. Currently Fish Buffet is known as the most rewarding VIP system in the online poker industry, thus being a great incentive for both recreational and professional players.

GGPoker Bonus

The bonus offered by the website is one of the biggest out there. They offer 200% of your first 3 deposits, up to $ 1,000. After you release it, you can then withdraw it, use it to play cash games or to enter tournaments.

As mentioned before, GGPoker is dedicated mostly to recreational players, and that’s why they offer the bonus to the first 3 deposits. You can start with a small amount to get the hang of the website and the bonus system, and you can then make a larger deposit and still get a bonus.

The bonus is gradually released in chunks of $ 10, so the more you play, the more you release.

GGPoker Promotions

They have a wide variety of tournaments that you can participate in, with all sorts of interesting prizes. From freerolls to satellites and to major weekend tournaments, they have it all!

  • Daily Guarantees – their daily tournaments have guaranteed prizes of $100,000 each day, and on Sunday it gets even better because the guarantees are doubled to 200K

  • Bounty Hunters – besides the regular prizes that you win in that specific tournament, you also get a bonus for each player that you eliminate

  • Phoenix Rebuys – just like the Phoenix bird rose from her ashes, you can also rebuy for 300% of the initial chip stack, and make a great come-back in the tournament. These events take place 4 times each day, and the entry can be as little as $ 0.20

  • Daily Main Events – there are 3 main daily events, with affordable buy ins and attractive guaranteed prizes of $ 33,000 combined

  • The Omaholic – for those passionate about the Omaha game, there are plenty of daily tournaments to choose from in various formats.

They also have plenty of promotions running, including the Fish Buffet Rewards, the Bad Beats of the Day, the GGPoker Masters, Super Stack Satellites, the $5k High Roller Event and many more.

GGPoker Traffic and Games

Traffic Overview

When it comes to traffic, the GG Network is ranked 5th. The most players can be found at the 6 max cash tables of No Limit Texas Holdem and Pot Limit Omaha.

While in the past the most traffic was at the prime time Asian hours, starting with 2017 they began to attract European players as well. So now there is constant traffic day in and day out, allowing you to always have someone to play against.

During the day there are around 1,000 active players, while in the evening the number can reach 1,700. Most of them can be found at the cash games with the lowest stake (NL 10). There are also around 15-20 tables for the NL 25 and NL 50 limits, and around 10 tables for the NL 100 to NL 400 limits. Even at the highest limits of up to NL 2,000 you can find around 2 active tables.

When it comes to the Omaha tables the traffic is good as well, but not as big as the Holdem tables. There are a few active tables at the lowest limits, up to 8 at the medium limits of PLO 100, 200 and 400 and one or two at the upper limit tables (PLO 600 to PLO 2,000).

GGPoker Games

Besides the above mentioned games of Holdem and Omaha, the website also includes a fast version poker called “Chinese Rush” (which takes place in the CNY currency) and the “All-in or Fold” version.

GGPoker Deposits and Withdrawals

The cashier is easy to use and reliable, and offers plenty of options to choose from. These include Visa and Master Cards, Webmoney (for deposits), Skrill, Neteller and least but not last…Bitcoin.

Payouts to Skrill and Neteller take around 2-3 days, while those to debit cards 3 to 5 days.

GGPoker Software

The platform works good and smoothly and it includes all the basic needed features. It is mostly dedicated to recreational players and it includes some customization options. You can view the tables from the lobby, set the size of the bets, add player notes, straddle, have an all-in insurance and more.

They do not allow HUDs or tracking software of any kind.
