WSOP Schedule in 2018

The World Series of Poker (or simply WSOP) is a popular series of poker tournaments. What started as a single tournament of 7 players in 1970 at the Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas, has now became a worldwide brand that includes 74 events in various countries. Most of them are played with variations of the Texas Hold’em, but they include other types as well.

Most events are held in one day, but the major ones can last for many days in a row. If you will take a look on their official website, you will see 6 main categories:

- WSOP Las Vegas

- WSOP Online Poker

- WSOP US Circuit

- WSOP International Circuit

- WSOP Europe

- WSOP Players

Each category has its own events and schedule, and today we’ll take a closer look at the WSOP US Circuit schedule. While most events of 2018 already happened, there are still a few left:

- The Harrah’s Cherokee Tournament – this one takes place at the casino located in Cherokee, NC and has 13 events. Just like in all the other tournaments, the entry fees vary from as low as $250 to a high as $1,700 at the main event. The guaranteed prize pool at the main event is an astonishing $1,000,000.

There are many other events happening in the US at the end of 2018 and beginning of 2019, and you can see them all at this link. Now let’s also take a look at some of the events happening in Europe. They all take place at the King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic in a one big tournament going from the 9th of October to the 28th of the same month. Entry fees vary from 550 Euro to an amazing amount of 100,000 Euro at event #9. On this event and a few others, the guaranteed prize pool is of 5,000,000 Euro, making it a very appealing tournament for some of the best players in the world.
