About Sofia Lövgren

There are plenty of popular male poker players out there, but very few ladies. The Swedish Sofia Lovgren is one of the best and most popular female poker players in the world. She was initially a part of the Team Pro of PKR Poker and is now an ambassador of 888 Poker. She also actively writes on her blog and poker magazines, and has lots of followers on her social media channels.

She grew up in Sweden, somewhere near Gothenburg together with 2 brothers and a sister. She was very competitive from a young age and played soccer for 10 years. But then found her true calling in poker and did really good so far.

She started by playing low stakes online cash games and after grinding for a year and a half, her bankroll gained quite some size. So she was encouraged to step up her game, to start to increase the stakes and to play poker full time.

She won her first her first serious money at a live tournament in 2010, where she cashed almost 10,000 euro. She finished 29th in the PaddyPower Irish Open. Later that year, she also placed 29th in the World Series of Poker gold bracelet even in Europe, when she won $5,000.

She continued to get better and better, and later on in 2012 she cashed at three WSOP events in Vegas. Then she finished on the 30th place in the EPT San Remo Main Event, cashing her biggest prize so far – almost $25,000.

But the next year was even better for her, as she finished 16th in the EPT London High Roller event, winning $34,000. She continued winning good money at WSOP games in 2014 and 2015, but 2016 was definitely her best year.

In 2016 she cashed at 4 WSOP events, but also finished in the 12th place (out of 7,190 participants) at the $1,500 Millionaire Maker event. This is definitely her biggest win so far, and at this even she cashed in $75,109.

2017 was also a good year for Sofia Lovgren, when she had her 12th WSOP cash and also her first participation at a WSOP $10,000 Main Event. Even though she ended in the 322nd place, she still went home with $35,267.

She is now traveling around the world, playing various cash games and tournaments, and she is also passionate about golf, fitness, running, dancing, skiing and cooking.

So here was all the information you need to know about Sofia Lovgren. While her website seems to be down at the moment, you can still follow this beautiful and talented poker player on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
